Hello, Unfotunately, we do not advise to do this.

I am in the UK so how many hours of sun/daylight should the light receive to ensure it works.
Before first use we do recommend that these are switched off for 3-5 days to allow the batteries to receive a full charge. Once this is done we would recommend that you place the lights south facing as possible as these have integrated panels. It depends on the type of sunlight that it is getting to give you an accurate answer on the number of hours, if it is clouded over etc or direct sunlight. I would just recommend getting int oa postion where if there was direct sunlight and it will always be receiving a charge.
