can these bulbs be used in enclosed shade - like a globe shade?

Yes no problem using a shade with these bulbs

Best and brightest 12v lightbulbs

These bulbs give much more light than the old type of 12v lightbulbs and are bright immediately. I have purchased 2 lower wattage bulbs previously of this type from the Solar Centre and after a year they are as new.. Care should be taken when screwing the bulb into the holder, if you over tighten the bulb unscrews from the base of the bulb.
