Hi! Great question. Solar lights do perform best with direct sunlight, as it allows the internal battery to fully charge and provide optimal brightness and runtime. That said, this light will still charge in indirect light just at a slower rate and less runtime.

Stephen, thank you for your message. Our Zenith light is a dusk till dawn so when it starts to get dark, after the light got a full charge in the sun it will turn on and can last up to 16 hours

Bought the Zenith solar light to light up our house number plate. It works perfectly & stays lit from dusk to dawn every night.

This is a fantastic solar light, bought to illuminate house numberplate. It's a good size and shape for this, and plenty powerful even on the economy setting. I liked the high powered battery which keeps the light on for longer, and that a replacement battery can be sourced from the solar centre if needed in the future. Hopefully, this light should be good for many years to come, very pleased with this light. Would definitely recommend. I haven't fitted this yet, but it lights up really well on the windowsill.

I bought this light to mount over our house sign. It is doing a really good job and despite us having mostly overcast weather recently there has been enough light to charge it and it is giving a good light exactly as I hoped. The quality of the light, being largely metal is by far better than cheaper plastic models. It both looks good as well as doing a good job of lighting up the house name. Really pleased with it.
