The first light which arrived did not function properly, which I thought was due to the vague setting up instructions. I contacted Customer Service and a replacement was dispatched. I have left the light outside to charge up, which it's doing. Having consulted the young woman in Customer Service, I now know what to do and what not to do, so I'm expecting a positive outcome. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to any prospective purchaser.

Simple to install and no setup required. Just let it soak up some sun for a few days and then turn it on. Might work sooner but it won't be as bright. When properly charged it's very bright and exactly what we needed. You can see when it's charging or topping up power with a little green LED. It's very sensitive to movement and has a really good range so just position it carefully. I've tried my best Ninja skills and it still spots me as soon as I become visible, right across the garden. Superb light and people will think it's mains powered when they see the light. So impressed my in-laws are getting one for their driveway.

The light from this unit is great - bright and white, but not cold & blue. The adjustment on the unit is good as I can point the light down, whilst still having the panel pointing in the optimal direction for sun light. The on/off switch is accessible and the unit is well made. Based on the longevity of other units form the solar centre, I am optimistic that this is robust enough to last 3yrs+ - assuming the electronics hold out! The problem I have with it is that the sensor triggers from well over 10m , which means it is set off by every passing car and pedestrian, even though it is 10m from the road plus it is at pointing at 90 degress from the road! I'm not marking it down for this, but be aware it's range is over 12m not 10m.

I was a bit concerned after the first two days as the light was still dim but another two days have passed and it's now brilliant. So much brighter than the wedge light it replaced. The activation seems a little slow,compared to standard type sensors but it does trigger. If it lasts the course(and no overweight pigeon uses it as a perch) it will have been a sound investment.
