Just bought another 1 of these.It's quite true it is very plasticky. I was a bit disappointed when I had the 1st 1 but I've had it 4 or 5 years and it's still going strong.Never changed the battery even.Only now is the 'glass' discolouring. It looks much better than it feels. I'd certainly recommend but agree it is a bit overpriced perhaps.Really useful if you want a light to see to put the key in the door etc.

Ordered as a present for my mum's Victorian house as most solar lights look too modern for the style of house. It was plasticky but I had read reviews so was expecting it, but as others have said I don't think it will notice once its up. Incredibly quick delivery given I didn't select "next day" but it still arrived the next day! Thank you.

I've purchased several lights from the solar centre recently and most of them have been very good. I particularly like the Canterbury lights. Unfortunately this particular light is not up to the standards of the rest. It is very plasticky and the build quality is very poor. Considering this costs a lot more than the Canterbury lights I wasn't very happy. It's not bad enough to warrant sending it back but I also wouldn't recommend anyone else buys it. At £20 it would be much more acceptable

Pretty good for the money. Attractive. Light is quite bright but can't really say it would put off a potential intruder. Much mor plasticky than I was expecting but once installed that doesn't really notice

This is a lovely solar lamp, which adds a touch of class to the outside of our house. PIR works well.

The solar light was sent and delivered quickly and was easy to fit. The light worked almost immediately and looked great day and night illuminated and is still working perfectly. Highly recommended

Good looking unit but not bright enough for replacing normal exterior light.

Bought this for the side of the house to cover a dark corner and side gate. One bulb is on permanent and when motion is detected the lot comes on and I have to say that when that happens, its quite bright. Absolutely brilliant!

The light is used to provide light over a garage size door and seems to serve the purpose

Lovely stylish light outside my front door. Pleasantly surprised that it emits a dim light all night and when PIR is activated provides enough light for me to see keyhole.
