The light can be installed with a ground stake so you should be able to adjust the position of the unit and make sure that it is South facing.
The dimensions of this light are 45m high by 14cm wide by 14cm deep (70cm high with spike).

Feels robust, looks good when lit, looks good when not. Better than cheap units in terms of charging up but struggles in winter sun as they are only in the sun in the morning. Would be helpful to have setting to allow lower light level, as I have with some string lights, as that could help them stay on longer. That said I don't at all regret purchase and actually brought a second one.

I had ordered two previous lights, from other manufacturers. They all now seem to be sensor lights. These light up at dusk and stay on all night at a very good brightness and turn off again at dawn. Just perfect to light up our driveway.
