Our Geo kits can be installed by anyone with basic DIY skills and are exempt from Part P of the building regulations which means there is no need to pay an electrician to have your kit installed and certified.
The Geo 1 will light an area of 16 Square Metres making it ideal for medium sized rooms, sheds, garages, outhouses, wendy houses, greenhouses and tree houses.
As well as providing you with lighting you can use the charge stored in the battery for powering a variety of small electronic devices simply by adding an inverter.
The Geo 1 - Mains Free Solar Lighting Kit can be used with a 12Ah or greater 12v battery. If you are using a low capacity battery, such as the 12Ah, we recommend disconnecting the battery when not in regular use, to prevent overcharge.
Alternatively you can add a charge controller to the system so there's no need to disconnect the battery.
You can choose a battery using the drop down selector above the Add to Basket button. If you already have a 12v battery you can use it with this kit, please note using a lower capacity then recommended will reduce the length of time the lights run for.

If you purchase the recommended battery, that will provide up to 48 hours of run time. In terms of the panel, you will have to screw the black plastic panel holders in place. As long as you can secure the holders on the roof the panel would be attached. You might have to use different type of screws suitable for this surface.
The length of the cable is 10 metres. The battery dimensions are: L 149mm x W 96mm x H 96mm
We do not recommend this. The panel needs to be outside.

Very easy to understand and set up. The kit was delivered in good time and also came with instructions, which proved very helpful. Installed with battery and solar panel inside a small greenhouse, and the bulb successfully provided enough light to see when it's night.

Arrived well packaged. Instructions simple to follow and light is good. Only small disappointment were a) even for a small shed the cable was JUST long enough, and b) battery came with 6.3mm male spade connections but eye connectors were supplied. Will be checking battery volts over time to see how well it charges without charge controller.

A great bit of kit, very easy to install in a 8 x 12 shed, i also purchased an additional lamp holder an bulb just to light the whole shed. It is as good if not better than any mains light would be without all the hassle of having to get mains supply to the shed. I would highly recommend the Geo 1

Excellant product, fairly good light output for a medium size shed. Installed with a charge controller and battery. Simple to put together and found following the video tutorials helpful!
