Our Geo kits can be installed by anyone with basic DIY skills and are exempt from Part P of the building regulations which means there is no need to pay an electrician to have your kit installed and certified.
The Geo 2 - Mains Free Solar Lighting Kit can be used with a 12ah or greater 12v battery.
It is recommended however that if you are only using a low capacity battery that you either add a charge controller to the system or disconnect it when not in regular use, to prevent overcharge.
The Geo 2 will light an area of 32 square metres making it ideal for medium / large sized rooms, sheds, garages, outhouses, wendy houses, greenhouses and tree houses.
As well as providing you with lighting you can use the charge stored in the battery for powering a variety of small electronic devices.
You can choose a battery using the drop down selector above the Add to Basket button. If you already have a 12v battery you can use it with this kit, please note using a lower capacity then recommended will reduce the length of time the lights run for.

Hi, the panel is IP66, and can certainly be installed on top of a shed roof.
Yes, you can use a car battery for this. However, this will be designed for short bursts of energy. Whereas, if you buy the correct battery for the Geo kit it will work for longer periods of time. Yes, you can also run LED lighting off the system. But please make sure you are powering something that is equivalent to or less than the voltage of the battery that is used.
The longest wiring kit we do is 20m it can be found here . However if you need less than that please search TSC in the search bar and the others will come up, we have a 20m 10m or 5m.

Purchased the geo2 set for our shed straight forward efficient set up and does the job required very happy with the result.

Bought this kit last year as I was converting my shed into a gym and it has been brilliant. It was easy to install and looks smart. I had to buy a separate battery as it was sold out from this website at the time, you do not need a controller for this particular kit. the two bulbs provide a generous amount of light and is a perfect solution to lighting a shed that has no electricity supply. I would definitely recommend!

Brilliant light kit. Very bright. I got a friend to install and he said was fine to I stall. Very pleased with the lights I have used mine in a 12x12 stable with 12x6 tack room with no electricity supply. Been looking for solar lights for a while and these are perfect and decent price for the brightness. I have tried other cheaper solar panels but they just don't give off enough light. Very impressed. So much so I have ordered another set for my other stable block.

I bought this for my shed and must say it's superb.. Had to buy the battery separately and it does the job. The panel charges the battery and the brightness of the 2 bulbs is more than adequate for a 12'x10' shed. This system is modular and you can add to it. Very happy with the quality of the product and the service from solarcentre.
