Hi Anne. You can find the battery by unscrewing the end cap. They are 3 x AA rechargeable batteries.
Please look at our security lights ideally with a remote panel for a north facing wall, so you can place the panel where it gets the most light. If the light only needs to trigger a few times a day a non remote panel could work but we wouldn't recommend it.

This is our second purchase of these lights as we needed more. They're sturdily made and provide light from dusk till dawn year round in our experience. We mainly use them decoratively along the drive fence but relocate them to light up steps or gateways if we're having a party in the garden. I fully recommend this product but do wait until they're on offer as they are more expensive than other options. Having said that, our first purchase four years ago are still going strong and have been out permanently.

This light looks good and seems to work well. Not entirely sure it will illuminate the sign fully only time will tell. But design look is excellent.

We now have four of these lights and they first two have been on our front drive pillars for two years. The one has a light gone but still gives out light. These lights are good value as they work in winter. Make sure no plants/trees block the solar panel and they will always charge. Perfect if you live in the country with no street lights. I'd buy twenty of these if the price was a little cheaper. Just brilliant solar lights

Very pleased with this light. I have three and they give off good light and hold a charge all night. Excellent lights.
