How much light exposure per day is needed to fully charge the battery? And can it charge with indirect light?

Hello. As long as the light is in a south facing position or as near as with no shading or over hangs the light will charge.

Hello there. We're looking for a light that will simply enable us to see our keys clearly when we are standing by our front door. A motion detector within a limited range would therefore be grand - is this the case? Thanks!

Hello As natural white is mentioned I am assuming white light colour is 4000K. Is this correct? Mode 3 description is confusing; does the light come on at full brightness of 1000lm on detection of motion and remain on for 30 seconds after no further motion has been detected? Thanks.

The colour is a neutral white, around 4000K. Mode 3 turns on the light at full brightness when motion is detected. The light turns off 30 seconds after all movement has ceased.

We're impressed with this Wendover light which we bought for our south facing porch. We've run it on the lower setting without the motion sensor, and it provides a subtle pool of light about 6 to 8 feet across without disturbing neighbours or lighting up our upstairs bedrooms. When fully charged on a sunny autumn day, and on this setting, it can last through most of the night. We'll see how long it will last in winter.

I bought this light as a security light for my back gate. I mounted it on my shed. It works perfectly well, winter mode means it comes on when motion is detected for 30 secs and then switches off to save power. It has 3 other brightness modes which are on a 'dusk till dawn' setting. This can be a very bright light on the brightest setting. Looks good too.
