This light is security only, it will only come on when it detects you.
Hello. The light has 5M from panel to light however you can purchase an additional extension cable of 5M also.
If the panel is getting as much direct sunlight then yes it will be ok to be hung in this way. However if it causes it to be more hidden from light, then please do not.

Bought this light after being let down constantly by cheap foreign made rubbish. The Solar panel and light on this unit is exceptional. Well worth spending the little extra for a quality light and solar panel that exceeded my expectations. Mounted the solar panel on top of my porch roof with rubber feet and the the light its self under the eaves, in the British dark dreary short days this light was worked 100% of the time every night. I should have bought these sooner.

I leave reviews after a while to make sure the product is reliable, I bought this a year ago. It's very bright and still charges well during darker winter months. Highly recommended for anyone that doesn't want to connect floodlights to the mains.

I've had 2 of these for nearly a year now and these lights are excellent. I have them on my garage wall to light my driveway and they're bright and clear. The PIR sensor can be adjusted for sensitivity both in terms of daylight and distance as well as angled One of my lights developed a fault after about 9 months. I contacted Solar Centre and they replaced the light for me.
