Hi there, we unfortunately do not sell a base separately, but the battery in it can be replaced which may address the intermitant functionality.
Hello, they take Li-ion 1500 mah 3.2v. The base is replaceable however the battery is not I am afraid.

Have bought this as a present for a 60th birthday. I have had a Cactus myself for over a year and it never fails to come on at dusk, absolutely brilliant. Light up your life!!

Love them, bought 2 and they loog great in the garden. Really bright and the colours really are vivid. So easy to set up too.

ive given it 5 stars so far, nor enough sun to charge it up again at the moment, but as it arrived with charge I must say it is FABULOUS !! love the colours and the fact it has internal solar charging . quality, as will all products from here is spot on. Will be buying more, may need a bigger garden
